SCOTUS and the 4th of July
Shed a tear and give a cheer to Sandra Day O'Conner!
She leaves for one of the most important reasons...to be with an ailing husband, but her abscence on the court will sorely be missed by liberals and moderates alike. She has often been a voice of reason on a divided court and will most likely be replaced by an idealogue.
I will be back after the 4th of July to help prepare the masses for the nomination battle. Hopefully Bush will turn to someone who is a moderate conservative...someone that will uphold the Constituion, not redefine it. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out!
I am home with family celebrating the 4th and I hope that you do the same this weekend. Remember the FREEDOMS, RIGHTS, and OPPORTUNITIES our fore fathers fought and died for us to have. No one should take those away from any of our citizens....
